Last week we showed you the good people of the South African Whale Disentanglement Network (SAWND) rescuing a whale caught in rope off of Bantry Bay, the boat having to come up close and personal with the nine metre animal to cut it free.
That’s pretty legendary in anyone’s books, but how about these guys from Wildlife Resources in southern Utah? Employee Mark Ekins filmed this ballsy rescue operation of a cougar caught in a bobcat trap in the Pine Valley Mountains, and as you can see towards the end the cougar makes off seemingly without any long-term damage.
