First off, I’m not really into “magic” tricks. The process of the wait, the surprise, the not-knowing-how-it-was-done just doesn’t do it for me. I was the first to turn my back on anyone who claims “magic” hands, and I think it’s because I always secretly want to be them. But better.
Because I want the magic to be real, not an illusion.
In light of that self-realisation, I have recently started giving “magic” enthusiasts a chance, just like I gave NFL long snapper Jon Dorenbos a watch while he performed his “magic” trick on America’s Got Talent”.
It’s quite a long one, but if you give him enough time you soon realise that Jon’s got something going, although that something is not “magic” per se.
Check his performance below, one which includes a bottle, a hammer and a few pieces of paper.
Oh, and did I mention he was an NFL player? Man of all the talents.
