When Dr. Santiago Gomez Zuviria encountered a young boy in the emergency room of a children’s hospital in Tucuman, Argentina, he couldn’t help but find humour in the situation.
Stuck between the boy’s larynx and pharynx was a squeaker from a pet toy. When the boy opened his mouth and inhaled he, well, squeaked.
Dr. Zuviria decided to film the scene, and shared the video to Facebook with this translated warning:
Moral. Beware of what children play with.
The look of disappointment on the child’s face, priceless:
Using local anaesthesia, Dr Zuviria was able to remove the squeaker from the boy’s throat and he has since recovered:
“His mother was more scared than he was,” Zuviria said. “It was a tragi-comic situation to be honest. I never seen or heard about a case like this in my life.”
The two in the waiting room – poor mama:
Here’s the nasty culprit – it must have lodged itself in perfectly for the ultimate squeak:
The whole thing is really quite hilarious now that he’s OK, isn’t it?
