In the US, most of the children locked in cages are there thanks to the US government.
Over in Alabama, however, three people have been arrested for what law enforcement says is a repeated pattern of keeping young kids trapped inside cages.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a tip-off earlier in the week and, upon arrival, found four children aged between three and 11 inside the house.
Below from Newsweek:
Investigators also found wooden cages which had hasps and locks built into them. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office posted pictures on social media showing a baby’s crib which appears to have a wooden pallet bolted on top of it.
During the investigation, authorities uncovered evidence to suggest that the children had been locked inside the cages on multiple occasions.
A fifth child, aged 8 months, was later discovered by investigators but was not inside the residence at the time of the visit.
Three people – Kylla Michelle Mann, James H. Bond (really letting the name down), and Pamela Deloris Bond – were arrested.
If you want to see the result of a limited gene pool playing out over generations, here are the three people arrested.
The children’s mother and grandparents:
All three had bond set in excess of $120 000, and the children have been placed in state Department of Human Resources custody.
Looks like they’ll be spending some time locked inside cages of their own.
