These days, seeing a great white shark in the Western Cape is something of a rarity, and much has been written and said about the disappearance of these creatures from Cape Town, in particular.
Marine tour guide Donavan Smith would have been pretty chuffed when he saw a great white shark while out with clients off the coast of Knysna, but then something that is hardly ever caught on camera occurred.
In the footage, a pair of killer whales, or orcas, can be seen hunting the shark, and Smith can hardly contain his excitement.
He shared part of the chase on his Instagram account:
