To mark International Women’s Day today, SlutWalk Founder Sonya Barnett has designed the Nude Revolutionary Calendar. Featuring topless Iranian woman, this move is both a middle finger to political Islam, as well as a fundraiser towards “supporting women’s rights and free expression.”

The calendar is the brainchild of human rights activist and campaigner Maryam Namazie, who announced the initiative in December. According to Namazie, it is a homage to Aliaa Magda Elmahdy, the Egyptian blogger who posted nude pictures of herself to protest against sexual discrimination in Islam.

This promotional video for the calendar has just been released online.

It obviously contains nudity:

The calendar can be downloaded for free here, but you can also choose to buy one or donate money to the cause on Maryam Namazie’s blog. Which would make you a good person.
