The problem with winning the lottery in Illinois, is the law states you can’t remain anonymous. Which is shit for the people who won, but great for us – because we get to look the subject of our jealousy in the eye. Meet Merle and Patricia Butler, who bought one of three winning tickets to last month’s Mega Millions lottery, which happened to be the biggest lottery of all time. In the world. Ever.

They have opted to collect their winnings — $158 million after taxes — in a lump-sum payment.

The couple, who have grandchildren, have no immediate plans other than to craft an investment strategy, then revisit how to treat themselves a few months or a year from now, Merle said.

“There could possibly be a vacation in there,” he quipped.

    Haha, very funny, Merle!

Speaking of which, Saturday’s Powerball lottery is sitting on ONE BILLION RAND. You can buy tickets online from anywhere in the world HERE.

    Good luck!
