  • Was Vandalised Zuma Painting A Fake? [VIDEO]

22 May 2012 by Jasmine Stone in Art, Crime, Featured, The Spear, Video

A number of commenters have expressed the opinion that the scene of the defacing of Brett Murray’s The Spear in the Goodman Gallery was a set up.

Citing the inch-perfect framing of the camera, as well as the fact that the camera was trained on the painting at the exact moment of its vandalism, commenters cried foul, suspected a rat, and called bullcrap.

New information has emerged in the following video, which suggests that the vandalism in the Goodman Gallery was in fact staged, for the purposes of maintaining the global media’s attention on the the painting, and the reaction of South Africa’s political leadership to it.

    Spicy.
