Producing panoramic photos and time-lapse videos can now be done using your smartphone. Doctorate candidates, Daniel Aharoni and Zhiping Chen from the University of California are responsible for making this possible when they developed the Spinpod.
The Spinpod is compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 5, Ipod touch and most Android phones. If you do happen to get your hands on this little device it won’t only be your new photography friend. It can be used to hold music, a sound amplifier and a video-chat port. Once your smartphone has been positioned in Spinpod you would simply need to select either panoramic mode or time-lapse mode. The Spinpod also has a 10 and 15 second timer, so you can sneak in a few self portraits.
The Spinpod has been entered on Kickstarter and you could be the proud owner with a R600 pledge. And the team behind the Spinpod have not stopped there, they plan to update the device and attach add ons.
