In 2009 Fair Cape Dairies partnered with The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA), to launch a dairy product with a major difference. ROOIBOOST became the first dairy in the world to have products endorsed by CANSA and for good reason.

Research studies conducted by CANSA have shown that drinking six cups of rooibos tea a day increases the body’s natural anti-oxidant, called glutathione, by 60 – 80%, and as a result helps the body to fight off cancer. However, drinking six cups of tea a day is no mean feat, so Fair Cape Dairies developed Rooiboost, a drinking yoghurt which has the equivalent of six cups worth of Rooibos tea in a single 100ml drinking yoghurt shot!

    CANSA immediately endorsed the product.

Studies have also shown that the daily intake of Rooiboost can:

    • Help to decrease cholesterol,
    • Protect the liver,
    • Maintain healthy teeth and bones and
    • Support healthy skin and ease numerous skin diseases.

With Rooiboost being a drinking yoghurt, this product is an excellent source of calcium, protein and carbohydrates, which are all the components required to boost ones energy and hydration levels after exercising hereby proving to be an ideal recovery drink.

CANSA is one of the 6 charities that Fair Cape supports, falling under the social welfare pillar which forms part of the Fair Cape Cares initiative. With each product endorsed by CANSA that is sold, Fair Cape donates money to the charity to help in the fight against cancer.

Rooiboost shots can be purchased at Shoprite, Spar and Checkers convenience shopping stores.
