Held every five years, North Korea’s elections are pretty simple. Unlike democratic elections in South Africa, there is no need for a long list of candidates on the ballot list. There is only one candidate a district can vote for.
Each of the 687 districts in North Korea have their own candidate to vote for, any more than that and you border on democracy. This will be the first election to be held under the rule of Kim Jong-un. Kim will run as the district candidate in Mount Paekdu, which party propaganda reveres as the birthplace of former leader Kim Jong-il.
A 100% “yes” vote is expected for Kim Jong-un in Mount Paekdu.
UPDATE: Lil’ Kim has indeed nailed 100% of the vote. This guy is AMAZING!
