Remember Those ‘Anti-Homeless’ Spikes In England? Enjoy This

The war against London's "anti-homeless" spikes escalated, with activists covering the spiked areas to deter the homeless, with concrete so that they can return.

Earlier this week, we reported that England were placing down spikes to prevent homeless people from squatting, but in an act that will restore your faith in humanity, some activists have poured cement over the spikes, returning the areas to temporary safe-havens for the homeless from the cold.

The “anti-homeless” campaigns are heating up in London, with the activists even dressing as construction workers, making their concrete anti-sabotage look legit to avoid any suspicion.

Some have said that the spikes are a good thing, because rough sleeping is dangerous and needs to be discouraged. The problem there is that sleeping on the street generally isn’t something people choose to do—so maybe the best way of discouraging it is by asking the government to stop gearing policy towards housing for the rich, rather than making an already uncomfortable situation even worse.
