Friends of 2ov, Chad and Ryan, popped up the Table Mountain Saturday morning to see what all the commotion of Cape Town’s biggest ever storm and snow reports of up to 10cm was all about.
The intrepid explorers were ready for all conditions. Upon arrival at the summit, conditions proved to be far from the social media hype. The biggest storm seems to have been the one created by the nerdy weather media types and bored desk-bound number crunchers bent on any outside sensation to spice up their monotonous drudge.
Just as the two strapping fellas were laughing under some winter sunshine at the expectations of a white-out, they were hit by a sharpish snowy blizzard which caught them unawares – with their pants down, if you will. The lively interlude proved invigorating and surreal, and although falling steadily for 30 mins, there was not enough of the white stuff to lay a white table cloth of snow upon the fabled Table Top.
Enjoy the tomfoolery of these two from 10am Sat the 5th July.
