It’s All Going Off Ahead Of Tonight’s SONA

In case you hadn’t noticed, today is the State of the Nation address and emotions are running high.

See the above video to watch the EFF engaging in a bit of in-party fighting. Plenty of shoving, shouting and flailing arms as EFF supporters attacked EFF Member of Parliament (MP) Andile Mngxitama at the Cape Sun Hotel. He was chased from the building and had to be escorted away by security.

Now we read that the DA are quoted as saying police officers threatened to remove their spectators who gathered outside Parliament today.

If you weren’t already intrigued by what promises to be a volatile occasion your interest should now be piqued.

Jacob Zuma is due to speak at around 19h00 but tune in a little earlier, I’m pretty sure there won’t be a dull moment.

Popcorn, check. Your favourite tipple, check. A sense of excitement tinged with the shame that this is what it has all come to…check.
