Just when you thought it was safe to celebrate a South African ‘victory’, Twitter strikes back.
The dust has barely settled on the announcement of T-No (I’m going with it) as the new host of ‘The Daily Show’ and the shit has hit the fan. The problem, you see, is some of Noah’s older tweets that have got knickers in twists. Some of the offending ones chosen below from Channel 24:
Agree or disagree that this is something that needed to be addressed as you please, but at least applaud the folks who trawled as far back as 2010 to dig up some dirt. Now for the backlash to these tweets being dug up…
In this day and age it must be really tough to be a comedian. Noah’s unique background means he can get away with poking fun at just about everything in South African culture, but he does lack a Jewish heritage and is not an overweight woman so that opens him up to attack one assumes.
Whatever Trevor, if Jon Stewart (born Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz) hand-picked you to follow in his footsteps he must think you have something special going on. Like Taylor Swift said (and I am loathe to quote her but here goes) ‘hater’s gonna hate’.
