So you’re racking up the likes with your sunset pics (no filter guys, I’m so out the box) and awesome latte art snaps – go on with your bad self.
Except, you know, so is everyone else out there. Yes Instagram is full to the brim with millions of variations on the same theme, something that artist Hiérophante makes pretty clear in that video above.
Not that he isn’t at least a little self-aware with this below from TIME:
“I took advantage of our tendency to be unoriginal on social media to make this animation,” the artist [said]…He also points out that he knows other people have made similar videos—”so it seems that making a video about clichés is a cliché too…”
