Back in the old days, before everyone had a cellphone camera, rumours of break time brawls would circulate through a school like wildfire.
Welcome to 2016 then, where within minutes footage is shared around and the Eastern Cape Department of Education is forced to investigate.
The first brawl in the video below comes from Pearson High, where two girls (allegedly a matric student and a Grade Eight student) can be seen kicking and punching for the best part of 40 seconds.
The second incident is from Framesby High, where the fight quickly escalates into one involving multiple students.
Here’s TimesLive:
Pearson High principal Andre van Staden said: “Our school has strong disciplinary structures and standards in place.
“The individuals involved will be dealt with accordingly and will have to bear the consequences.”
Framesby High principal Jan Stroebel said he was unaware of the brawl but would find out who the pupils involved were.
