Yep, the one with Neil Patrick Harris, where a child genius becomes a doctor at the tender age of 14.

That does seem a little far-fetched, but perhaps it’s more reasonable than a 19-year-old born in Krugersdorp qualifying as a cardiologist.

That may have been what raised suspicion at Polokwane’s Pieterburg Hospital, when the girl used a fake American cardiologist certificate to apply for a position.

“While she was sitting at the Department of Health offices in Polokwane waiting for her turn to be interviewed for the position‚ the teenager got more than what she bargained for when the Hawks pounced on her‚” said Hawks spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Robert Netshiunda.

He added that further investigation had unearthed the suspect did not have a Grade 12 certificate.

Prior to her shortlisting for the post at the Pietersburg Hospital‚ she had already been introduced to the staff at the Netcare Hospital in Polokwane where she was supposed to take up a post as a cardiologist‚ Netshiunda said.

The teen will appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, where she will face charges of fraud.
