So, after all the nonsense surrounding Nkandla we have finally arrived at a figure.
The National Treasury was required to submit a report to the ConCourt, following the much-lauded ruling that took place back in April.
Today they did so, with this from News24:
According to the report, released to the media by the Constitutional Court, the total amount calculated was R7.8m.
“As a consequence, the reasonable percentage of the estimated costs of the five measures that the President would have to pay personally would be 87,94%. Â This percentage corresponds to R7 814 155 as at June 2009,” read the report.
I don’t imagine that will be much of an issue, and if it is he could always ring up the Guptas and ask for a little briefcase to be delivered.
