To many who don’t live in Africa, the thought of a wild animal roaming the streets makes sense. But when you hear it’s a tiger, and you know your stuff, it may turn a little nonsensical.
But, yup, it happened.
Last Friday morning a tiger got loose and was found meandering around the streets in the east of Pretoria. No doubt, residents were shocked when they spotted the majestic animal near the fence of The Meadows estate around 7 am.
Imagine that.
It happened to emerge from The Farm Inn in Silverlakes.
How casual is it, though?
But how’s this – the owner of the farm Pedro Michaletos didn’t realise the tiger had escaped until he saw his cat on Facebook.
The tiger was taken down with a dart, and it is now safely back in its enclosure – and Michaletos is investigating how it might have escaped.
I’m pretty happy it’s still alive and not dead.
