  • They’re Taking Bets On The Next ANC President – Check Out These Odds

December is a pretty big month for the ANC, and thus the future of South Africa.

In case you’ve somehow missed the whole fandango the party is holding its 2017 ANC Elective Conference, running from December 16 through to December 20, over in Jozi.

It’s a seminal moment for the party, with Jacob Zuma’s successor to be crowned, which is basically the same as saying South Africa’s next president.

Cyril Ramaphosa and Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma have been doing battle for a while now, but they are far from the only horses in this race.

So, do you fancy having a flutter and making a little dosh off this one? Of course you do.

Sportingbet are taking bets right now, so let’s take a look at the odds.

We’ve gone for the decimal odds display, just to make it simple:

Cyril out in front, but Dlamini-Zuma certainly nipping at his heels. Maybe you want to throw down a grand on our current Deputy President, his odds at 1.75, and you’ll be handed back a cool R1 750 if he cracks the nod.

[That’s your initial R1 000 back and the R750 you won, in case you’re new to this.]

If you feel like one of those long shots has an ace up their sleeve, like Lindiwe Sisulu, a grand goes a very, very long way. You’ll be taking home R101 000 if that bet ended in your favour.

For live odds, head over HERE.

Those odds are calculated in two ways – firstly Sportingbet keep their ears to the ground and follow the news closely, and then they also factor in how the public is betting.

That is to say, it pays to get your bets in early. If everyone is plonking money down on Cyril his odds will shorten, so get in there now before the odds change.

You can bet that the build-up to the Elective Conference is going to be headline news, and you can expect some serious fireworks, so why not have a cheeky bet and add to the intrigue.

I don’t know who you’re rooting for but let the battle begin.
