Look, Charlize is trying to praat die taal again.
Theron and British-Nigerian actor David Oyelowo are currently promoting their new film, Gringo, and they recently caught up with Vanity Fair.
Charlize went full Benoni and explained some Afrikaans, and Oyelowo dished out some sayings in Yoruba.
“Bakvissie”, “moenie die hoender ruk nie” and “pomp” – they’re all here.
I’m not sure about some of her pronunciation, although as a full-blown soutie I cannot really cast the first stone:
