What would you do if you were the last person on earth? Other than riding a convertible trolley through empty aisles, of course?

While we all like to think we’d be alright on our own, Peter Dinklage is actually pretty good at it. After the human race is wiped out, he finds contentment in a journey of solitude.

    Mashable said it first:

Most post-apocalyptic movies conjure up images of sawed-off shotguns, stray dogs, and zombies. I Think We’re Alone Now shows a very different side to the end of the world.

Directed by Reed Morano of The Handmaid’s Tale, the Sundance success stars Peter Dinklage and Elle Fanning—seemingly the last two people on Earth. As Dinklage revels in the peace and quiet in a narrative akin to The Twilight Zone’s “Time Enough At Last“, Fanning relentlessly pursues their unlikely friendship.

    Teaser time:

Looks interesting, right? It’s cool to see a different perspective on something so overdone.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Morano had a clear vision:

“I like the post-apocalyptic genre, but it’s been done a million times, and I was looking for something a little bit weird, or just a little bit different tonally.

“I saw this opportunity to tell a post-apocalyptic story that breaks a lot of the conventions of storytelling in that genre.”

The film will be released in the US on September 21, so sit tight or do what you illegal kids were going to do anyway.
