The Shaft series is comprised of neo-noir action-crime movies centred around three police detectives – John Shaft, his nephew John Shaft II, and the former’s son, John Shaft III.
The films have been running since the ’70s, and now they’re about to have a revival.
Kenya Barris, the creator of Black-ish, is bringing two generations of Shafts, Samuel L. Jackson and Jessie Usher, back to pass the torch to the next generation, reports The Verge.
