Chairs Fly, Woman Slapped As Hout Bay Political Debate Descends Into Total Chaos [Video]

A political debate in Hout Bay turned violent when EFF supporters clashed with those from Black First Land First (BLF) party.

Welcome to EFF supporters acting like thugs, version 532.

Someone may need to have a word with them about how chairs are supposed to be used for sitting on, hard hats for protecting your head, and overalls being worn for actual work.

The latest incident comes from a political debate that took place in Hout Bay this morning, which was broadcast live on SABC News.

Times LIVE reports that, in addition to the chair throwing and general thuggery, an EFF member (I believe they call them ‘comrade’) can be seen slapping a woman.

This is what happens when you allow EFF party members to get away with physically assaulting security in the halls of Parliament.

Everything kicks off from the 3:35 mark:

Revolutionaries in action.

It really hasn’t been a great week for Hout Bay in general.

Perhaps the saddest part of all of this is that the EFF is going to get somewhere around 10% of the national vote.

EFF chairperson in the Western Cape, Melikhaya Xheko, blamed the disruptions on Black First Land First (BLF) and the Land Party supporters:

“At the end of our time we were not finished with responding to questions of clarity that were raised by the people on the show. The producers of the show agreed with the EFF and other political parties to cut it off and give other parties a chance,” he said…

Xheko said the chairs came from the direction of the BLF supporters. “It was the BLF who was problematic there and they were inciting the Land Party. BLF didn’t have enough numbers so it was utilising the Land Party to collapse the whole thing.”

Xheko said BLF supporters had also stoned their taxis and cars outside the venue.

He said the EFF regretted the incident and did not promote violence.

Sorry to break it to you, Melikhaya, but that’s exactly what your party promotes – exhibit A, B and C.

I suppose it’s too much to ask for them to take any responsibility for how their supporters behave.
