There was much speculation about whether President Cyril Ramaphosa was going to announce a national lockdown over the weekend.
Due to address the nation last night, that was then pushed back to today, with Ramaphosa set to speak on the outcome of a meeting with business and political party leaders on ways to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
We know that there is often a delay when it comes to these speeches, which is due to start at 7:30PM, so hang in there if things are running a little behind.
Or a lot behind – don’t shoot the messenger.
