“Na Na Na Na Hey Hey Hey Goodbye” sang passengers on an American Airlines flight after a couple of disruptive anti-maskers were given the boot.

A lengthy argument took place about the rule for wearing masks aboard a Houston-bound plane waiting for takeoff at Miami International Airport on Friday.

The flight had already been delayed for a gruelling nine hours.

It was the perfect moment to celebrate with the 1969 song ‘Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye’ by Steam.

The moment was captured on video:

The delay was long as hell, but, per Newsweek, it is not clear whether the mask issue was the sole cause.

It is also uncertain whether two or three passengers were sent off on their merry way:

American Airlines confirmed that two passengers were removed for violating masks rules in a statement sent to The Independent that did not mention a third passenger.

In South Africa back in March, passengers on a FlySafair flight sarcastically applauded an unruly passenger who was being escorted off a flight.

The intense anger that wearing masks causes in some passengers really has made things tougher for flight attendants all over the world.
