At the present rate, one in three UK residents will have served as prime minister by the year 2040.
That stat is entirely made up, of course, but former British Prime Minister Liz Truss’ 44-day stint in charge highlights the mess among the Conservative Party’s leadership.
Truss left office with a 10% favourability rating among the British public, according to a recent YouGov poll. Boris Johnson, the previous incumbent, had an approval rating of 29% in the same poll.
