Eww! The Latest Olympic Accident Doing The Rounds – This Time It’s A Weightlifter And His Elbow [Video]

Let's all spare a thought for Armenian Andranik Karapetyan, whose weightlifting clean and jerk attempt didn't really go to plan.
during the Men's 77kg Group A weightlifting contest on Day 5 of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games at Riocentro - Pavilion 2 on August 10, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Olympics always produce a couple of fairy tale stories, plucky athletes overcoming the odds to snatch a medal on their way to becoming national heroes.

They also produce some of those moments where half of you wants to look, and the other half desperately wants to look away.

On Monday we showed you French gymnast Samir Ait Said suffering a broken leg upon landing (HERE), and this time around it’s Armenian Andranik Karapetyan and his left elbow.

Huffington Post below:

Karapetyan, a gold medal winner at the 2016 European Weightlifting Championships, was making his second attempt at a clean and jerk lift in the 77-kilogram competition when his elbow appeared to dislodge…

A dislodged elbow doesn’t sound all that bad, but have a look for yourself:

No thanks, I’ll stick to watching from my couch.
