Bakers Biscuits, a South African favourite who have provided non-risque snacks and food products since 1851, are tweaking their previously conservative brand strategy and are diversifying into the more provocative adult foods market.
In a surprise move, Bakers have launched a new sexually suggestive line of snacks which allude to male genitalia. With new ranges including the very direct “Eet-Sum-Mor Balls” and “Ginger Nuts Balls,” suggesting a more rouge plumage.
The provocative new angle is bound to satisfy a whole new type of customer.

From a marketing perspective it’s no major surprise, as there is definitely room in the very niche sexual foods market – particularly in South Africa, where a number of adult shops are already selling various products, including chocolate body paint and the like.
But for a company whose image is supposedly 100% “family friendly,” one wonders how their more conservative customers are going to react to such a move?
