Spotted on the Corner of St. Bedes and Somerset Road, Three Anchor Bay. This image sent in by a 2oceansviber sets such a bizarre scene, it’s hard to work out exactly what happened.
Well it’s all happening – the Biebdog is in town and every girl under the age of 13 (and their mom) is losing their face. I thought I felt something in the air tonight. I instinctively walked onto the balcony and made a heart shape with my hands..
The “dirtbin truck people” certainly do have a sense of humour. I have no doubt this beauty was thrown in the bin after a bachelor party and the garbage disposal peeps fouynd it, blew it up and *ahem* mounted it to their truck. Quality – sent in by Divan. Click ‘continue reading’ to enlarge.
A reader sent in this epic iPhone SMS conversation screenshot. My personal favourite is at the end – he still doesn’t get it, and tunes her “I know I picked up a vibe you little flirt!” Whaah! What a beaut! Quality. Good luck with that, buddy 😉
They’re surprisingly hard to find – the Salt & Vinegar flavour of Robertson spices. This, even though it is the best thing to put on popcorn at home. I used to go to the cinema just to experience popcorn with salt & vinegar flavouring. Because that was the only place I could find it. But […]
This just happened at Cape Town International Airport. For the older folk, that’s “DF Malan Airport.” We are not sure how this happened but assume it has something to do with the driver wanting to avoid the airport parking scam. Follow the link to enlarge the photograph.
Took this photo of a guy sitting on the railing in the middle of Nelson Mandela Boulevard – heading in/out of Cape Town CBD. He sits there for hours sometimes. Just watching the traffic go by at 140 km/h. Have you seen him there before? What’s his vibe? What is he waiting for? Is he […]
Pick n Pay’s recent venture into the ass foods market (in the form of ass flavoured, ass cup noodles and, lest we forget, simply spreading ass) must have produced some good results. It seems the retail giant is now experimenting further with the ass flavour, and has made it available inside a wrap, no less – […]
Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers is in town and was spotted at the V&A Waterfront, wearing his trademark face. Rhys Meyers is best known for his roles in the films Bend It Like Beckham and Match Point and his television role as King Henry VIII in the historical drama The Tudors. An Excited fan of his […]
A few weeks ago I dropped off La Muse at Cape Town International airport, ahead of her buying trip to three corners of the world. We ate at the Spur (as you do) and when I paid for my parking ticket I was shocked to see I had been charged R105. I didn’t have the […]
In what must have been the biggest surprise for everyone who attended, international rock star and Heidi Klum’s other half, Seal performed this weekend for a private function at Cape Town’s ‘Pepper Club’ on Loop Street. The event was to celebrate the 40th birthday of ex-pat South African businessman, Andre Crawford-Brunt, who currently lives in […]
Game stores chose ‘Red Alert’ security for a reason. Probably because their security personnel are slightly more advanced than your average baton-wielding hack. They have computer skills, for example – which are useful for handling CCTV monitoring footage. Or, you know, solitaire. Note, this image was not taken inside a security ‘hokkie.’ That is, in […]
There has been a lot of talk on the net about Ryan Reynolds’ new girlfriend whom he was spotted with at the Woodstock Biscuit Mill market. No-one seems to know her name but luckily our buddies over at GQ managed to get this shot and they have confirmed her name is Agnes Fischer. Well done […]
So we’ve managed to get extra info on this Clifton Shores project and it looks like (thankfully) the promo that was spotted online was shot over 17 months ago and was supposed to be seen as a call for castings when the show was casting over a year ago. I’m told that the current show […]
I’ve been rolling with a new range of golf shirts of late, thanks to Merchants On Long. You might have seen them before – with the embroided warrior, raising his shield. Very cool vibe, and something you should probably take a look at. They’re 100% cotton, made right here in Cape Town. So not only […]
Popped into Giovanni’s last night to grab some snackaroos, following an epic evening at Cape Town’s Design Indaba (loved the MINI stand – which let’s you design your own MINI). So La Muse and I picked up some cold meats and salads, as you do, and headed to the counter to pay. Lo and behold, […]
A 2oceansviber spotted this vehicle at the cargo loading terminal of the Cape Town Harbour this morning. The photo appears to show a small tank, or an armoured personnel carrier. The photo appears in the wake of claims by the DA that South Africa exported armoured personnel carriers to Libya in late 2010. Guy Lamb of the Institute for Security Studies answers our questions.
Witnessing U2 in concert was a big deal for a lot of people, but spotting Ryan Reynolds (in town shooting a film with Denzel Washington) at the concert may well have increased the blood pressure of a few young ladies! We managed to get hold of a few pics of Ryan Reynolds at Friday’s concert. […]
It is not known what sparked off this very-public in-store mockery, but Pick n Pay has clearly got something against Tiger Brands and, in particular ‘Enterprise’ – their meat products range. Apparently Pick n Pay reckons that Enterprise Renown “Spreads Ass.” We caught up with Enterprise Foods’ Marketing Executive, Sonja Botha, for comment. Click link […]
Regular 2oceansvibers will be aware of the term ‘Lake-Lake,’ which is a game the Radlantic Ocean plays from time to time. What it does is it pretends to be a lake – ie. dead still. The photo above was taken this morning from The Safe House (using our iPhone 4 from Digicape and photos stitched […]
Today’s game involves a car that was spotted on the streets of Cape Town. This is a given, as it has a stunning WP numberplate. But the big question is, WHERE in Cape Town was it spotted? More to the point, what suburb? Follow the link to see the answer!
Having never met before, SA cricket captain, Graeme Smith and SA surf champ, Jordy Smith, finally met at Cafe Caprice this week. Apparently they were downing 2oceansvibe cocktails all night. Because that’s how they….? *Have you spotted any celebs around town? Send ’em through and you will be rewarded 😉
It was just a month ago that a reader sent in proof that Stodels Nursery was selling ‘Ass Succulents.’ We agreed that this made sense, giving the current demand for Ass Products. But Ass Succulent sales were clearly off the charts, as Stodels is now also selling Pear Ass and Peach Ass. Who would have thought? Check it out after the link.
The Silly Season is no better on display than in the hub of silliness, Camps Bay. Our brothers and sisters from the north have arrived, with their vests and muscles and costume jewelry. It’s quite beautiful to watch, my china! I took a little video clip of the action and you just won’t believe what I caught on tape, cycling past.
ANC veteran Tony Yengeni is spotted quietly kicking it with a glass of vino at the Grand Restaurant on the beach near the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town this week. El vino did flow.. (Photo by Gallo Images/Foto24/Lulama Zenzile)
When I mentioned to the Friendly store owner last weekend that they should look into stocking the Robertsons Salt & Vinegar seasoning (I use it on popcorn – like at the movies), I didn’t expect it to appear on the shelves so soon. One week later, BANG, there it was. Nice job, Friendly store.
Who would have thought that Roodepoort was aware of the word ‘biatches,’ let alone actively catering exclusive for ‘real biatches’ within the lifestyle boutiques arena. We have so much to learn about this part of South Africa. But there is so little time. I just went to the Biatches website and WOW – you gotta check this out. After the link..
