Pope Benedict XVI took to Twitter yesterday and composed a tweet on an iPad before sending it out into cyberspace. Granted, it did take about six other similarly aged cardinals and other officials to help him out, but it is the thought that counts, right? This was what he tweeted:
Dear Friends, I just launched News.va. Praised be our Lord Jesus Christ! With my prayers and blessings, Benedictus XVI.”
The new site he tweeted about will serve as a one-stop-shop aggregator of news from the Vatican’s various information sources: Vatican Radio, Vatican Television, the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano, the Holy See’s press office and Fides, and the Vatican’s missionary news agency.
