It would be fair to say that police in the USA are currently under the microscope regarding their treatment of America’s black citizens. Why, you ask? Well there was the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, or THIS, or THIS. For good measure, a little dose of THIS too.
You can be sure that every time they do something in the light of day someone will be filming it. But they really aren’t doing themselves any favours with this latest video from New Rochelle, New York. Gawker reports:
They were having a snowball fight,” a woman is heard to say in the video. “This group of guys was having a snowball fight and now a cop has a gun on them”.
There may be extenuating circumstances, however, as it has been reported that the officers were responding to a report of someone with a gun in the area. I guess where you stand on how police should react to that will determine whether you think the police were at fault here. These comments from Gawker:
