Trevor Noah Has His Starting Date For Hosting The Daily Show [Video]

Ever since local lad Trevor Noah was announced host of The Daily Show we have been waiting for the big news - just when will that first show take place?

They may be massive shoes to fill but T-No is coming in hot.

Yesterday saw Noah officially announce, via his famous Twitter account of course, that September 28 will be his first day in charge of The Daily Show. Trevor has been readying himself to take over from Jon Stewart since the announcement back in March, although it was unclear when Stewart intended to step down after 17 years at the helm.

The comic legend will host his final show on August 6 before the show returns with our local lad front and centre.

Noah has been in the news of late following the Sunday Times’ story that, in the wake of another family death, his granny believed a curse had been placed on the family. Noah and his grandmother responded angrily to the story (HERE and HERE), although the Sunday Times have refused to back down.

Ah well, at least Trevor looks happy in that video up top. Then again, with the money he is set to make from his new gig, who wouldn’t be?
