The Mother City already has drool-worthy snacks at every corner.
The Mojo Market, the Oranjezicht City Farm Market, the Bay Harbour Market, the Neighbourgoods Market, and the Blue Bird Garage Food and Goods Market, to name a few, all contribute to Cape Town’s epic foodie scene.
As if the city is lacking, Time Out is bringing its own market concept to our shores, and honestly, okes couldn’t froth any more excitedly.
The Time Out Market at the V&A Waterfront is the world’s first editorially curated food and cultural market concept, which basically brings a city’s best chefs, restaurateurs, and unique cultural experiences together under one roof.
The market will do well to capture and celebrate the food soul of the city it is in, hosting fun things like cooking classes with top chefs, showcasing installations from local artists and jazzing things up with myriad live entertainment.
It has just been announced that the eagerly awaited Time Out Market Cape Town will officially open its doors on 17 November 2023, just in time for all that summer holiday goodness.

The market’s cultural offerings will feature a curated programme of events, including jazz evenings, comedy nights, and DJ sessions, as well as vibrant art installations from Cape Town-based artists Zabalaza Art Faktory and ALFA.
Time Out Market Cape Town will be operating daily at the V&A Waterfront, opening on Sunday to Wednesday at 11AM to 10PM, and Thursday to Saturday at 11AM to 11PM.
I don’t know about you, but I am so excited for another room full of food, this time from all the best restaurants in the city.
